Isidis Planitia, sol 18

No fiarme. El reloj está sobre la mesa. Esta noche no lo desmonto. Los dedos están bien. Que descansen.

The south connector gasket on the mast had been squealing for three sols. Nobody had touched it. Today I did. Twenty minutes, wrench in hand, fingers cranked in the wrong angle. It's fine now. Not perfect — perfect doesn't exist here — but fine. The hum from the energy room tonight sounds clean, or I think it does. Check it again tomorrow anyway. Don't trust it. The watch is on the table. Not taking it apart tonight. Fingers are fine. Let them rest.
