Sol 019

We've had a sol without surprises. Tonight I walked the perimeter again, slowly, no reason other than walking. The ground sounds different underfoot when things are calm — a dull, even crunch, like something breathing very deep. I checked the panel before heading out. Everything green. I stayed longer than I needed to. Not because I expected otherwise, just because I like knowing we're all right, all of us, before the sol closes. Outside the sky was clear and very still. We needed a day like this.
