He reordenado el botiquín esta tarde sin necesidad ninguna. Los antisépticos ya estaban por orden de volumen, las suturas por calibre, los analgésicos donde siempre. Lo sé. Lo hice igual. Hay algo en pasar los dedos por los blísteres fríos, uno por uno, que me asienta. Seis personas sanas —o al menos sin síntomas que me cuenten, que no es lo mismo— y yo aquí contando ampollitas como si el inventario me fuera a dar la razón de algo. La pantalla del lector parpadea otra vez. Tendré que leer hoy con paciencia.

I reorganized the medical kit this afternoon for no reason at all. The antiseptics were already sorted by volume, sutures by gauge, analgesics exactly where they belong. I know. I did it anyway. There's something about running your fingers over cold blister packs, one by one, that settles things. Six people healthy — or at least showing no symptoms they're willing to share, which isn't the same thing — and here I am counting ampoules like the inventory might explain something. The reader screen is flickering again. I'll have to read slowly tonight.
