Sol 025

This afternoon during checks I found a bolt someone had overtightened on the mast coupling. I didn't loosen it all the way—just a quarter turn, enough. The kind of thing nobody sees, nobody logs. It was a sol without damage; whatever the meteorite gave us was a tremor in the readings and then nothing. But that bolt stayed with me. When something's wound too tight, it gives way where you least want it to. I know this from materials. I know it from other things too.
