Isidis Planitia, sol 33

No sé bien a qué otra cosa compararlo.

I spent the afternoon with my hands buried in the drainage channels of the north sector, checking if the sediment had blocked the outlets again. It had. I worked it out with my fingers, pinching and pushing, and at some point I realised I'd been talking to myself under my breath for a while — no idea what about — with Kai's music barely audible in the background. The sediment smells like soil, in here. I don't know what else to compare it to. I laid it out piece by piece on a folded cloth, as if I was going to weigh it afterwards. I didn't weigh it. Tomorrow I'll take another look at the central channel, see how it goes.
