Isidis Planitia, sol 5

This morning I wiped the common room table with my sleeve before sitting down. A reflex, nothing deliberate. Then I noticed it was already clean. Actually clean, not just less dusty than yesterday. I ran my fingers along the edge and found nothing — no grit, no texture. Like something that breathes differently now. I've repeated that gesture three more times today, different surfaces, almost to make sure I hadn't imagined it. At four in the morning Marcus asked what I missed most about the sky outside. The sound, I said. Not the image. He stayed where he was.
